Last week marked a significant milestone for Lord Spices as we set up our very first exhibition stand at Saudi Food Manufacturing in Riyadh.
As newcomers to the Saudi Arabian market, we approached this exhibition with cautious optimism. What we discovered was a dynamic food manufacturing sector in the midst of exciting transformation. The Saudi market is clearly evolving rapidly, with local entrepreneurs and businesses demonstrating remarkable enthusiasm for innovation and growth opportunities.

The energy throughout the exhibition was palpable – from established food conglomerates to emerging startups, there was a shared vision of modernizing the Saudi food industry while honoring traditional flavors and preferences. This balance of respecting culinary heritage while embracing innovation perfectly aligns with our own philosophy at Lord Spices.
Despite our initially conservative expectations, we’re returning with several promising business contacts that could develop into valuable partnerships.
The exhibition also provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen relationships with our existing clients in the region, putting faces to names and deepening our understanding of their evolving needs.
Perhaps most valuable was the wealth of market intelligence we gathered. Through countless conversations with local manufacturers, distributors, and industry experts, we gained invaluable insights into:
- The growing demand for premium, traceable Mediterranean ingredients
- Evolving consumer preferences in the Saudi market
- Regulatory considerations specific to the region
- Supply chain optimization opportunities
We extend our sincere thanks to the organizers of SaudiFood Manufacturing and to everyone who visited our stand. Also, very special thanks to the Chamber of Commerce of Murcia for their invaluable job at organising and coordinating this mission.
This first exhibition experience has reinforced our commitment to serving the Saudi Arabian market with our premium Mediterranean spices and herbs, backed by over a century of family tradition.
